Head down Tottenham court road , turn right and you`ll be in Fitzrovia .It was the first time i`d ventured into the area and i managed to find LIMA restaurant no problem.I had booked in for lunch after seeing the wonderful looking food on a recent Critical couple blog post. ( here )…i simply had to try it out.
So there`s no Michelin stars , it`s not in the Good food guide yet but i`m sure it`s only a matter of time. The service is very attentive , well clued up and friendly , The prices are cheap , The food is superb and the biggest attraction of them all is that it`s very interesting.I can guarantee that you won`t have had any of these flavours before….They all work fantastically well and i really was buzzing with excitement here simply because everything was new to me…Tell you what , I`d go back there just for the char grilled Octopus , infact the whole meal was superb.Anyone knocking this place needs a kick up the arse.
House Cocktails were well made and we went with the staff recommendation…we could have gone on all day but there was more food to be had that evening at The Ledbury…….Fresh fruit , Peruvian Pisco and bubbles hit the mark.
Bread was freshly baked and out of the oven , Faultless.Flavoured Butter and a couple of interesting dips accompanied it.
